Can I hold a date?
At this time, you can not hold a date. However, if we receive another inquiry for your date, we will let you know.
How do I reserve a date?
• You will confirm your date and event scope details
• Both parties will sign the contract with all terms
• You will obtain required insurance
• You will pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, of the venue rental fee
How much is the wedding rental venue fee (and what does it include)?
Our wedding season is April through December. We do not host weddings January through March.
For weddings, our venue rental fee is as follows:
Weekday: $2000
Friday: $3000
Saturday: $4000
Sunday: $3000
Included in each rental:
– 1 night stay in the Bridal Suite for bride and groom to experience KelMar Escape themselves, prior to the wedding.
– 2 Hour rehearsal night before the wedding
– 12 Hour use of the outdoor terraces, pavilion, bridal parlor and suite day of wedding
– 2 hour window for load out the following day.
Load out of all 3rd party elements must be done between 10am – 12pm.
What is not included that I'm required to secure?
All additional experience items, such as tables, chairs, linens, flowers, music, entertainment, will be incremental.
KelMar Escape is happy to arrange and manager 3rd party vendors. The fee for this service is cost plus 15%.
You will need to obtain addition event insurance.
For any event over 25 people, you will be required to provide an executive bathroom. This will be coordinated by KelMar on your behalf. The fee for this will be: $XX
There is a required cleaning fee of XX.
How many people can KelMar Escape host for an experience?
KelMar Escape can host a maximum of 100 guests. However, due to Covid-19 and current government guidances in the State of Georgia, our maximum capacity is currently 50 people.
What precautions is KelMar Escape taking to ensure the safety of all people who participate in the experience?
Where are you located?
We are located on Lake Sydney Lanier in Young Deer Park. This is on the south end of the lake. We are off exit 16, Pilgrim Mill Road.

What is the weather like?

Can we see it beforehand?

Is there a curfew?
Yes, there is. All events have an end time no later than 10pm.
Do you have any required vendors?
We do have vendors we love working with but we’re absolutely open to discuss your preferences for your event. Please take a moment to complete our bookings & inquiries form and we’ll be able to provide you our recommendations.
Can we use our own vendors & partners?
You are welcome to present other partners that you would like to use (caterer, musics, etc) for review and review and approval. We always love meeting new and amazing people!
They will need to meet certain parameters to be approved.
We reserve the right to accept or deny any 3rd party requests.
This will include things like:
– Business license and insurance
– Ratio of staff to number of guests
– Load in and load out process
– Kitchen/Food prep area requirements
– Equipment required
Can we bring our own beer, wine & alcohol?
We can discuss exactly what you need and/or want and assist with confirming your beverage plans.
Are there décor restrictions?
There are no restrictions regarding your tables, chairs, table linens or flowers.
Candles must be in solid base glass hurricane or similar container.
You can not put anything staked into the yard, other than approved tents.
You can not adhere any signage to the stonework.
Do you have lodging onsite?
We do not have any lodging onsite at KelMar Escape, however there are many local places for your guests to stay! You can find our favorite recommendations on our Why KelMar page.
Will you host more than one event in a day?
Nope, there will not be any other events the day of yours!
Do you have a designated parking area?
Your guests can park at Young Deer Park and we can arrange a golf cart shuttle from park to KelMar Escape.
The park is only .5 mile from KelMar Escape.
Golf cart rental and driver will be an incremental cost of $X.
What is the backup weather plan?
If there is a chance of inclement weather, you will need a tent (we will provide our required vendor for this). The tents have been set up and tested on the property to ensure proper load in and fit the property.
This will be an incremental cost of $XX.

Can you bring your boat?
Bring your boat! You can secure it to the boathouse during your event. How cool is that?
Can guests arrive by boat?
Why, yes, guests can arrive by boat.
You will be requested to inform us on the number boats and guests, and when they will expect to arrive/depart. We don’t want to create a traffic jam at the dock.
